Skye was converted by specialists Danbury in Bristol and is fully loaded with equipment you would expect.
There is a fitted sink, gas hob and a grill (note: not all campers you may see for hire have a grill).
There are fitted units which run the length of the campervan for storage.
We include tea, coffee, milk and some homemade brownies to get you started.
Each campervan hire is full with everything you would expect if you were heading off on a camping trip, all you need to bring is bedding. We can supply a bedding pack or sleeping bags if you prefer. If you select the sleeping bag option then you are very welcome to take this home with you at the end of your camper hire.
Camper Hire Inventory
- Kettle, tea, coffee and milk. Cooking utensil (pans);
- Cutlery (knives, forks, spoons and teaspoons);
- Bottle opener, tin opener scissors and gas lighter;
- Bowls large and small, plates;
- Cups, tumblers, wine glasses and chopping boards.
- Also all the equipment you need to wash and dry up.
A mains hook-up lead for when you arrive at your campsite. From a safety perspective you have a Fire blanket, Fire extinguisher and First Aid kit, a fluorescent jacket and warning triangle.
You have unlimited mileage with the campervan but in the unfortunate circumstances you need mechanical help you have RAC breakdown that is available 24/7. We've also included some jump leads.
Each VW campervan as a rock ‘n’ roll double bed which measures approximately 1900mm at 1250mm. There is another double bed in the pop-up roof. Thermal black-out window covers are provided for additional privacy and warmth, in addition there are curtains for all windows except the front cab (this is covered by the thermals covers).

Skye is a classic vw campervan and she drives like a vehicle from the 1950s. There is the big steering wheel that needs two hands and some gears that will take a little time to get used to. Saying all that this is all part of the vw camper hire experience. Please remember not to drive over 55mph as this is a classic.
Gas Bottle - this must be turned off when travelling and sleeping. Best practice is to turn the gas off when not in use. There is a carbon monoxide monitor.
