East Devon - VW campervan hire trip
As your collecting your campervan from Sidmouth in East Devon you may decide to discover this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with leafy river valleys, charming towns and villages such as Seaton, Beer and Branscombe.
The coastal boundary runs from Exmouth east towards Dorset, it's the gateway to the Jurassic Coast a 95 mile stretch of coastline and the first area of Britain to be designated a World Heritage Site. Or you could decide to head North.
North Devon - VW campervan hire trip
On the edge of the Bristol channel and facing out to the atlantic coast. The coast has one of largest tidal movements in the world. North Devon is renowned for huge sandy beaches of Saunton Sands, Puxborough and Woolacombe. For the budding surfers then you must head to Croyde Bay. The coast has one of largest tidal movements in the world.
For the adventurous then park up and try reaching either Broad Sands or Wild Pear Beach, you may need alternative transport (paddleboards) for one and use the rope for the other.
If you don't fancy the beach then you have some beautiful woodland walks over Exmoor. Stop at Dulverton and walk to Tarr Steps and back. After exploring Exmoor you may decide to follow the coastline round to Clovelly, from here head directly south.

Moving towards the South through West Devon you will find Dartmoor National Park (which covers 368 square miles) of stunning and unspoilt countryside.
The South Hams area has some beautiful places to stop like Blackpool Sands, Salcombe, Dartmouth and South Sands.
